We offer a unique VIP hot air balloon experience that will make your trip to Vang Vieng complete. The VIP balloons fly over the mountains, villages and rice fields. And the flights last up to 1 hour depending on the weather.
Mountain Flights VIP
Namthip Balloons are proud to deliver this VIP experience for visitors to Vang Vieng.
Your tour starts by picked up by either an AC minivan or car from your hotel. You will then be taken to our clubhouse across the river close to the mountains.
On arrival to the take off site, you will be given refreshments and introduced to the flight team and pilot. You will receive a full briefing before being take to your hot air balloon.
The VIP mountain flight lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour depending on the weather conditions. During your flight you will witness the stunning scenery of Vang Vieng from a completely different perspective.
From rice fields to lagoons to viewpoints to villages; your balloon ride will be like no other in Vang Vieng. Once the flight has ended you will return to the clubhouse.
Once back at the clubhouse it is time for the champagne celebration and certificate giving.
After a glass of cold bubbly you can relive your flight while chatting to other passengers and enjoy a light meal and drinks and receive your certificate. You will then be returned to your hotel by AC transport.
Sunrise & Sunset Flights
You may notice that some adverts for hot air balloons state morning and evening. Many passengers assume this means sunrise and sunset but the balloons often fly after the sun has risen and before it sets.
With Namthip Balloons you can witness the real sunset and sunrise in Vang Vieng. Fly early to see the sun rising for the day as the darkness lifts to wash Vang Vieng in sunlight.
Alternatively, take a real sunset flight and enjoy the magical part of the day as the sun sets behind the stunning mountains out past the Nam Song River.
Safety First
We want all our passengers to have a wonderful and fun experience regardless of which activity they choose.
But, safety is our absolute priority. We are approved by the Lao Civil Aviation Authority. All our balloons are western standard and regularly undergo checks and maintenance.
All pilots are licensed and certified. They are trained professionals and very experienced aviators. They also speak several languages to ensure communication is clear and reassuring.
