The Ultimate Vang Vieng Experience
Most of the hot air balloon flights in Vang Vieng travel over the city and the river. They fly for 25 to 30 minutes and they are great fun. However, Namthip Balloons takes the experience to new levels.
Instead of a modest 25 minute flight over the town we take you across the mountains to sites that you cannot normally see.
Soar over the magnificent lime karsts that help to make Vang Vieng such a beautiful destination. Float over rice fields and villages for up to 1 hour.
The whole package is much more than just the flight. You will receive a briefing before the flight. A certficate after landing. And, you will enjoy a breakfast or light meal along with a complimentary drink with your fellow passengers in our cafe.
Sunrise & Sunset Flights
You may notice that some adverts for hot air balloons state morning and evening. Many passengers assume this means sunrise and sunset but the balloons often fly after the sun has risen and before it sets.
With Namthip Balloons you can witness the real sunset and sunrise in Vang Vieng. Fly early to see the sun rising for the day as the darkness lifts to wash Vang Vieng in sunlight.
Alternatively, take a real sunset flight and enjoy the magical part of the day as the sun sets behind the stunning mountains out past the Nam Song River.
Safety First
We want all our passengers to have a wonderful and fun experience regardless of which activity they choose.
But, safety is our absolute priority. We are approved by the Lao Civil Aviation Authority. All our balloons are western standard and regularly undergo checks and maintenance.
All pilots are licensed and certified. They are trained professionals and very experienced aviators. They also speak several languages to ensure communication is clear and reassuring.
